Derick Aghamalian

I’m a Product and UX/UI Designer based in Markham, Ontario, with 5 years of experience designing and launching digital products and websites.

My work has always centered on turning complex problems into simple, usable experiences. I started by designing websites for clients across a wide range of industries: from a 40-page church website with online booking and payments, to contractor and financial services websites, to a resort experience built around an interactive property map. Working directly with clients taught me how to understand business goals, identify what users need, and turn those requirements into clear, intuitive digital experiences.

Today, I’m a co-founder and Product Designer at Flowboost, an AI automation service for accountants and bookkeepers. I lead product design end to end, from customer discovery and problem definition to workflow design, prototyping, testing, and working hands-on with the technical implementation. This has given me experience designing not just interfaces, but the systems and workflows behind them.

I’m comfortable moving between user research, UX strategy, high-fidelity design, and implementation. I enjoy working closely with both users and technical teams, and I’m especially interested in products where good design means making complex workflows feel simple.

I’m now looking for a Product, UX, or UX/UI Design role where I can bring that combination of design, product thinking, and technical understanding to a team building something useful.
